The specific variant of the disorder analysed in this test is found in the Karelian Bear Dog and the Norwegian Elkhound. It is caused by a recessive mutation to the gene ITGA10.
Caractéristiques cliniques
Les chiens atteints de chondrodysplasie souffrent d’un nanisme disproportionné de petite taille de gravité variable. Les changements radiographiques ont inclus le torchage et la plus grande largeur des metaphyses distaux du rayon et du cubitus, l’ossification retardée des os cuboïdes du carpe, et la réduction de la longueur des corps vertébraux.
